GIORGIO

Giorgio was born in Monopoli, a small fishing town on the Adriatic coast in Puglia, Italy. Giorgio developed an interest for food and hospitality from a young age.

Actively pursuing his career since he was fourteen years old, Giorgio took summer internships at restaurants throughout Italy.Giorgio studied hospitality management and honed his skills by working in some of the finest Italian restaurants in Europe, including El Toula, part of the Relais & Chateau, an association of luxury resorts and restaurants of all over the world.

He shared his love for Italian cuisine while pursuing his career in fine dining restaurants in Rome, Munich, Monte Carlo and London before being appointed to General Manager of El Toula in Tokyo in 1988.

Giorgio is the only Italian who has served at a banquet attended by the Emperor of Japan, which was held for the visit of the Italian President. Giorgio was awarded the Cavaliere knighthood by the Italian government in recognition of his service to the Italian Republic for promoting Italian food and culture around the world.

Giorgio has also gained respect of his peers for his contribution to the food & hospitality industry in Tokyo. With his extensive experience and knowledge, Giorgio has also worked for many distinguished companies and fashion brands.
